As a Junior Engineer you would be developing the skills to support engineering activities related to air traffic control radar surveillance systems.

    Key Accountabilities:
    • Assist in system / software / user requirements gathering, documentation and analysis
    • Assist in detailed design and implementation changes / enhancements to radar surveillance applications and systems.
    • Participate in projects of varying complexity
    • Participate in evaluating software and systems in support of procurement activities
    • Perform analysis of problem reports and determine root cause, development of work around, recommendations and/or implementation of solutions.
    • Assist in creating, developing, testing and deploying system solutions.
    Education/Occupational Certification:
    • Graduation from a recognized university with a degree in engineering
    Experience
    • Experience working individually and within teams.
    • Experience in writing reports related to hardware projects and/or tests results.
    • Experience in writing test procedures.
    Knowledge:
    • Basic knowledge and understanding of engineering principles, standards, practices, and technology in the field of antenna, electronics, radio propagation, systems, data communications or computer systems
    • Basic knowledge of RADAR systems in relation to Air Traffic Control.
    • Knowledge of operational systems (Windows, and/or LINUX), networking, and communication standards and protocols.
    • Knowledge with scripting languages such as python or shell scripts.
    Abilities:
    • Ability to create, document and execute test plans, cases, and scripts for software and system changes.
    • Ability to testing and debugging software, hardware and systems
    • Ability to write and evaluate specifications, technical reports, proposals, and safety reports.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
    Personal Suitability:
    • Ability to effectively work independently, as part of a team using collaborative interpersonal working relationships.
    • Influence and conflict resolution skills
    • Problem solving and creative thinking skills
